About Me

Hello! My name is Rachael Broadwell and I'm a visual artist living and working in central Nebraska. I focus on painting with oils and watercolor, and enjoy exploring a wide array of subjects. I earned a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Nebraska and a Masters in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University. I worked for 15 years as a clinical social worker before deciding to pursue painting, teaching, and technology. I'm currently pursuing an A.A.S. in Information Technology, focusing on web development. Even when I worked in healthcare settings, I often took on the role of de facto 'tech support' and I enjoy helping people get the most out of technology.

When I'm not painting, teaching, working, or studying you'll find me out walking with my two dogs, Watson and Hazel. Or trying to cope with the fact that my teenage daughter is now driving and looking at colleges. On a really good day, you'll find me having a latte and sketching for hours at a cafe.
